This is such a simple recipe, but the big, delicious flavor from the sauce will surprise you, in a good way! You can cook the fish from frozen according to the instructions, or use fresh/defrosted fish* (see note below for how to cook fresh/defrosted fish). The reason for cooking the frozen fish in the oven before seasoning is to partially thaw it out first. That way, when you add the sauce it can seep into the fish rather than just sliding off the frozen filet.
Ingredients
Fish
- 4 filets frozen fish (about 4 oz each)
Sauce
- Lemon Garlic Sauce, 1x recipe

- ½ lemon, optional
Instructions
Step 1
Preheat oven to 425 °F.
Step 2
Place the frozen fish on a sheet pan. Bake for 15 minutes.
Step 3
Remove the sheet pan from the oven, and spoon the sauce over the fish, dividing it evenly between the filets.
Step 4
Thinly slice the half-lemon into rounds. Place 1-2 slices on each fish filet.
Step 5
Bake the fish for another five minutes, or until fully cooked. Fish is fully cooked when it is opaque on the inside, flakes off easily and reaches a temperature of 145 degrees Fahrenheit.
Notes
*If using fresh or defrosted fish, bake for 10 minutes at 400 degrees for each 1-inch of fish. I.e. a 1-inch thick filet of fish cooks for 10 minutes, a 1.5-inch thick filet of fish cooks for 15 minutes.
