The Department of Radiation Oncology is committed to providing expert, compassionate care in a state-of-the-art facility. Our team of skilled radiation oncologists specializes in treating a wide range of cancers and benign conditions using advanced radiation therapies. We prioritize patient access, scheduling newly diagnosed individuals within seven to 14 days, and in some cases, within 72 hours for urgent needs. Through close collaboration with multidisciplinary teams across the hospital, we ensure personalized, comprehensive care for every patient.

Education and Training

Medical Student Education

For medical students in the third and fourth years of study at BU Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine, we offer two electives in the Cancer Education and Research Program: clinical radiation oncology and clinical cancer research. First and second year students may also rotate through the department in the Introduction to Clinical Medicine course.

Radiation Oncology Clinical Trials

BMC radiation oncologists are actively involved in researching new and promising cancer treatments through clinical trials, as well as new treatments for benign conditions that can be treated with radiation therapy.
